Meet the requirements
To apply for a loan you’ll need:
- To be 18 years or older with a SA ID
- South African Bank account
- Your cellphone number, employer and address details
- A breakdown of your income and expenses

Things to take note of
- Maximum APRThe maximum annual percentage rate is 30%.
- Repayment methods We offer convenient repayment options, including but not limited to debit orders.
- Subsequent LoansWhen you take out subsequent/new loans, the same interest rates and fees will apply to those new loans. We do not offer Credit Facilities or Revolving Facilities; each loan you take with us is a new, separate loan.
- Non-paymentNon-payment of your account will result in an R69 service fee and 5% interest added monthly. If you fail to pay for two months, your account will be handed over to an external debt collection company, resulting in additional costs for your account.
Not repaying your loan on time will decrease your credit rating and might make it challenging to qualify for finance at other credit providers in the future.

Frequently asked questions - What do I need to qualify for a loan?You need to be a South African citizen and above 18 years of age. You also need to be employed and have a valid bank account.
- How long before I receive the money?We leave that decision up to you. We make payments the same day that your loan is approved. It then takes 24 hours for the money to reflect in your account, but it is also possible to make an immediate payment at a small service fee of R57, and the money will be available in your account immediately.
- What if I have a bad credit record?We do a credit check on your name, but if you have a bad credit record, it does not necessarily mean that we will not be able to assist you. We consider a lot of other factors as well, and if we feel comfortable that you will be able to repay the loan that you made, we will definitely consider your application.
- Will I be able to receive the money in cash or is it paid into my bank account?We do not make any cash pay-outs to any of our clients. All payments are made directly into the same bank account that you use to receive your salary. Therefore your bank account needs to be active and you have to be able to make cash withdrawals on that account.
- What personal info does Finance27 need to process my loan application?You will need to complete the online application form. On this form you need to give us your contact details, physical address and postal address, employer details and a breakdown of your income(s) and expenses. You obviously need to provide us with your banking details as well, as we need to pay the money into your account and load any applicable debit order(s) for your instalment(s).
