About the Water Stories

Good infrastructure is needed to support the growth of the township economy and communities. As part of our Kas’lam initiative, we are looking to address the infrastructure gaps that exist ekasi so that we can empower communities and businesses to thrive.  Starting the Wave of Change in Soweto  While water is one of the most important resources, it’s also more scarce than its ever been. This is why we want to keep iKasi flowing by helping schools and businesses ekasi to keep going, even during water cuts. We are installing back-up water systems in selected schools in Soweto. Starting at Rebongwe Primary, we will be able to serve not only the learners and educators but the water supply will also become a lifeline to vendors that operate within a 5 km radius of the schools.

  • Kas’lam is a way for us to invest eKasi. We’re celebrating the township economy by feeding back into communities however we can. While we began by plugging into businesses making sure people #BuyeKasi, our recent initiative is to keep iKasi flowing by placing back-up water systems in schools. This is just the beginning.
